Board Votes to Seek Public Comment on Two Policies
At Tuesday’s Board of Education meeting, the Board voted to open a 30-day public comment period on the two proposed policies.
The policies are:
- 3226/4205 – Internet Safety– This policy outlines proper protocols to keep students safe as they access the internet. It details internet filters, how to appropriately use the network and how students will be supervised while using the internet.
- 5000 – Schools and the Community – “Policy 5000 – Schools and the Community” recognizes that the public schools are an integral part of the community and that the public has a vested interest in having students develop into productive members of the workforce and of society.
To share feedback, please email gcscomments@gcsnc.com. Feedback may also be sent by U.S. mail to Policy Comments, Guilford County Schools, 712 N. Eugene St., Greensboro, NC 27401.
The board will vote on the policies after the 30-day public comment period.
