GCS Extends Virtual School Registration Deadline

On Thursday, the Guilford County Board of Education voted to return to school buildings in a phased approach.

To allow families enough time to make the best decision for themselves, Guilford County Schools (GCS) has extended the deadline to register for our two virtual schools until 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 2. After 5 p.m. on Oct. 2, students will only be able to enroll or exit the virtual schools at the semester break or the end of year break.

Students may enroll in either Guilford eLearning Virtual Academy which serves grades K-5 or Guilford eLearning University Prep which serves grades 6-8. Students in grades 9-12 can also register for Guilford eLearning University Prep and remain assigned to their home school.
