September 4, 2024 – Guilford County Schools (GCS) has more than 4,000 teachers. On September 25, one will be named the 2024 Guilford County Schools Teacher of The Year.
The district will hold its annual Celebration of Excellence on Wednesday, September 25, at the Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts. Student performances and school pride will be on display as schools compete for the coveted school spirit award. In addition to Teacher of the Year, the district will also recognize nearly a dozen other excellent staff in various categories including Principal of the Year, Rookie Teacher of The Year, Mentor Teacher of the Year, Counselor of the Year and more.
