Technology Support Specialist is Employee of the Month

Greensboro, N.C. – With 120 schools in the district relying on technology for instruction, there is always potential for something to go wrong. Thankfully Guilford County Schools has a skilled Technology Services team ready to be deployed to all locations across the county. When one of our staff members submits a help ticket, it is a person like Willie Lunsford that responds.

Lunsford works tirelessly to provide our schools with quality support and effective solutions. His kind demeanor and dedication leave a positive impact on those he assists.

“Mr. Lunsford consistently demonstrates excellence in his role,” writes school nurse Lakea Reaves. “He goes above and beyond to ensure that we have everything we need to perform our jobs effectively. Whether it's troubleshooting a computer glitch or assisting with sign-in issues, I know I can always count on him to resolve problems promptly and with a positive attitude. His dedication, professionalism, and willingness to help, even with a smile, truly makes a difference in our daily work. I believe his efforts deserve acknowledgement and appreciation.”

It is Lunsford’s positive attitude and prompt service that earned him the title of Employee of the Month for November. Technology Services, Frazier Elementary and Southern Elementary staff members banded together to coordinate a surprise in the Frazier Elementary media center, with students, family and staff cheering on a shocked Lunsford.

Lunsford received a $50 gift card courtesy of the Greensboro Jaycees. During the month of November, his photo will be displayed at the district’s central offices and in the Greensboro Jaycees office.
