For our Social Emotional Learning Week, we are dedicating this week to focus on our students’ social and emotional well-being. Most of this week’s lessons and live sessions will be geared towards checking in with students to help build, establish and strengthen student, teacher and parent relationships.
With the focus on Social Emotional Learning, we are also allowing this week for students to complete any missing or incomplete assignments that were assigned from September 8th through September 25th. We are encouraging all students to log into their canvas courses to view their grades and get caught up on any missing assignments. Parents, if you have not already done so, please log into Parent Portal and review your child’s grades with them. Teachers are ready and willing to assist students in any way possible to ensure success.
To all of our new to University Prep Families, we will host two parent town hall meetings this week. On Tuesday, September 29th 11:30-12:30 PM and on Thursday, October 1st 5:30-6:30 PM hosted on Microsoft Teams Live. The links for the sessions are posted on our website.
Wednesday, September 30 th will be the last day to register or unregister for our school until January. If you have changed your mind, you must log into Schoomint and withdraw your registration by 5 PM.
We want to encourage all students to make sure they are logging into their homeroom course in Canvas each day to be marked present. Also, students should be actively engaged in their courses on a daily basis. Students are expected to spend 3-6 hours per day 15-30 hours per week on school assignments in a virtual environment.
