This is Principal Robeson, here to share updates for the Week of January 11, 2021
We are excited to announce that Guilford eLearning University Prep will serve as a Magnet/Choice School for the 2021-2022 School year! This means we are here to stay as a Virtual Learning Option for Middle School Students. We will take all lessons learned from this year and launch a new and improved University Prep next school year with a focus on STEAM, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. We certainly hope you would consider us as an option for your child next school year. The Magnet/Choice School Applications will be opened January 14th – March 3rd via SchoolMint. On Wednesday, January 20 – Thursday, January 21, 2020 we will host our 2nd Semester Student Orientation for all students. The orientation sessions will be facilitated by the Teacher Teams and Encore Teachers. Attendance is required for all students. Here is the schedule for orientation.
Also, coming up with the 2nd semester we will be launching a new and improved live session schedule. The schedule will bring morning and afternoon sessions with no overlap between Core and Encore classes. It also provides students with more organization and structure. Students will be provided more details about their daily schedule during our mandatory orientation sessions.

Upcoming Events/Dates:
Monday, January 11, 2020 – Last day to turn in 2nd Quarter Assignments
Wednesday, January 20, 2020 – First day of 2nd Semester/3rd Quarter. Students will transition to their 2nd semester Encore classes on this day. See PowerSchool for new Encore classes. Be sure to capture which is your 1st Encore and 2nd Encore.
Wednesday, January 20 – Thursday, January 21, 2020 – 2nd Semester University Prep Student Orientations for all students. The orientation sessions will be hosted by the Teacher Teams and Encore Teachers. Attendance is required for all students. Below is the schedule for orientation.
Missed Textbook Pick Up? (Updated Office Hours)
Parents and students are free to stop by our office to pick up textbooks on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 10 AM – 3 PM. Fridays are by appointment only and the office is closed on Wednesdays. We are located at Jackson Middle, 2200 Ontario Road, Greensboro, NC 27401 (near the Coliseum Area).
