Need to Contact Hunter?

The school office phone line is open from 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

As part of its efforts to practice social distancing, GCS will limit the hours Hunter is open to the public during the COVID-19 closure. Hunter will be open to visitors by appointment only from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Visitors may not proceed past the main office, and if they think they may have been exposed to COVID-19 or have a fever, we ask that they please call instead of visiting.  

Families may still access the COVID-19 call center at 336-332-7290 or call the general switchboard number at 336-370-8100.

We care about our families and want to make sure our students and families have their basic needs met.  Should you need assistance with food, utilities, housing, medical or mental health please call 211 or visit https://www.nc211.org to access comprehensive resources.  WE are available on campus daily from 8 AM until 4 PM and can take appointments.  GCS has also set up a call centered to assist families with questions, concerns and needs.  The GCS call center number is 336-332-7290 and operates Monday-Friday from 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM.  If during this time away from school a student has concerns about anxiety, depression, abuse, suicidal thoughts, or has no food, etc. a student should dial 336-332-7295. This number will be manned 24 hours a day, seven days a week by GCS counselors for at least the next two weeks.  In the event of an emergency call 911.
