Culp Planetarium at HPU

On behalf of the Culp Planetarium at High Point University, we would like to invite students and teachers in your school to join us for our remote science outreach program! During this COVID-19 crisis, we are dedicated to delivering science outreach content to both HPU students and the broader community. As such, we have developed new ways to share our state-of-the-art technology with audiences remotely, and we have been sharing this content online. Over the weeks that follow, we will continue posting pre-recorded shows/videos as well as streaming some of our award-winning films.

We cover a range of topics from the solar system to galaxies to current astronomical events people can look for in the night sky. Although much of what we do is geared towards elementary and middle school students, older audiences will also find interest in our work. We ask that you pass this message along to your students and their parents, if interested. We have been tailoring some of our virtual shows to schools in the NC Triad, but viewers from all locations will find useful content in each of our videos. If you are interested, be sure to:

·  subscribe to our YouTube Channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkhT--LJ-Gj37kgXTEqTF8Q);

·  like our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/culpplanetarium/);

·  follow us on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/culpplanetarium/);

·  and check out our website for updates (http://www.highpoint.edu/planetarium/public-shows/remote-outreach/).

Over the next few weeks and months, we will continue to upload content to the above platforms, so be sure to check back regularly.
