Principal's Weekly Message

Greetings Hunter Families! This is Principal Walton with a few important announcements.

As a reminder to families of Kindergarten students and students new to North Carolina, health assessment forms and immunization records must be submitted to the school by September 21st. Please contact us if you have questions.

Families picking up their child early must do so no later than 1:30 p.m. Please send a note with your child if you plan to pick them up early so the teacher can be prepared. Informing teachers of early pickups will help to alleviate the wait time when you arrive. Students being checked out of school early must remain in class until the parent arrives. No students will be called to the front office in advance. Please make all attempts to avoid picking your child up after 1:30 p.m. to prevent any interference with our dismissal procedures. We understand that emergencies arise, but prior notice will help us ensure these processes are seamless for both you and your students. Additionally, students are missing instruction if they are picked up early and we request the student remain at school through dismissal when possible.

Students received a flyer this week with reminders about COVID-19. As a reminder, notify the school immediately if your student is exposed to someone with COVID-19, shows symptoms of COVID-19, or gets tested for COVID-19. To reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19, students cannot be in school if any of these issues occur.

Please contact the school if you have any questions. As always, Together We Can!
