Weekly Updates and Reminders
October 16, 2022 Weekly STAR Family Updates
Good afternoon Morehead STAR Families! This is Mrs. Traumuller, the Proud Morehead Principal, with your weekly updates and reminders.
Our week ahead looks to be a great week! We will rally behind the importance of attendance this week with a SPIRIT Week. Monday will be school spirit week, Tuesday is show up Inside Out where all students can wear their clothes inside out, Wednesday is Unity Day with all STARS wear orange, Thursday is dress for your future where students will dress like their future job, and Friday is College and University Day when all STARS can wear their favorite school's swag.
STAR Families, we ask that you partner with the school in checking your child's grades in third through fifth grades. If you do not have a Parent Power School app, you can use your student's iPad or computer to check. All students in these grades know how to log on so that you can see what grades and assignments are complete or missing as well as stay up to date on your child's grades.
With a cold front coming through, please take a minute to write your child's name in the jacket. Our STAR students are leaving an average of 20 jackets per week at school. Please check the video of the jackets from last week. If one is yours, please reach out to the teacher so that she or he can send it home with your STAR.
Cici's Pizza is partnering with us to host a Pizza Night in which our PTA will raise money from any food ordered during the night of October 20th. Check your STAR's Monday Folder for the information! We will send home a reminder on Thursday so that you can take the night off from cooking.
Next Monday, October 24th, will be the Make Up picture date. Please see the website for the information on ordering pictures if you have not yet had your picture taken.
