Weekly Reminders and updates November 20

November 20, 2022 Weekly STAR Family Updates

Good afternoon Morehead STAR Families! This is Mrs. Traumuller, the Proud Morehead Principal, with your weekly updates and reminders.

We certainly had a GREAT week last week as a STAR Family! Ms. Bowser was recognized her leadership and awarded a Principalship of her own at Frazier Elementary. Please join us with congratulating her as she leaves our hallways to further expand theirs! Mr. Kight led every grade level through Stack Up Day where all grade levels worked with cups of various sizes to compete and create various designs of cup stacking! It was amazing and your STARS are truly talented!

As we move into this week, please know that our heat is working in our building. With temperatures being super cold outside and the heat on in the classrooms, please help us with layering clothing so that our STARS can be comfortable within their day. Also, please remember mark your calendars for no school November 23- 25th with students returning Monday, November 28th.

My last piece of information is to provide all of our families with knowledge of food assistance over the long break from school. Unfortunately, we are unable to do our monthly food give away at our school, however, Out of the Garden wanted to ensure that we shared with our families the local opportunities in the community for support if needed. Please see the Out of the Garden website for details or look below for the large picture of events.

This brings us to our PTA NEWS:
PTA Pie day is November 22nd we need donations of pies and sweet treats, please visit the link (https://tinyurl.com/PTApiesforstarstaff) to sign up to donate as we want to give Morehead staff and teachers a big Thank You for all they do for our students everyday.

All PTA news and PTA meeting minutes can be found on the Morehead website.

That is all that I have for you this week! Thank you for your continued support and partnership. We are truly thankful for all of our STAR family and wish you all a safe week filled with thanks, family, and friends. We look forward to seeing your STAR bright and early in the morning!
