Weekly Updates and Reminders 11/27/22
November 27, 2022 Weekly STAR Family Updates
Good afternoon Morehead STAR Families! This is Mrs. Traumuller, the Proud Morehead Principal, with your weekly updates and reminders.
I am hopeful that you and your family had a chance to relax and rest with friends and family over the Thanksgiving holiday break from school. We all certainly have so much to be thankful for just within our hallways. I say this often as the leader of the school but feel like it is an appropriate time for me to restate. I am so very thankful for everyday that I am allowed to be the leader of this amazing school. Our students are growing daily and it is so great to see them learn and laugh with hands on learning experiences in both the regular education classrooms as well as the arts! Just amazing and I thank you for sharing your little STARS with us!
If your STAR student is out, please send in an excuse note with them upon their return. We cannot excuse the absence unless we have a note of excuse.
Mark your calendars as this is December hosts three consecutive full weeks of school and every day and every second counts. Winter Break does not start until Monday, December the 19th. This gives us three straight weeks to really do some good work. Our teachers will be meeting with leadership this week to examine the data collected so far in various assessments as well as classroom work. We will use this data to ensure that we are meeting every child's needs. Our staff breaks up daily to assist classroom teachers with small group learning and we need your help. If your STAR student is late, they are most likely missing this time of learning. Please help us with ensuring that all students arrive prior to 7:45 am.
This brings us to our PTA NEWS:
Thank you for such a generous outpouring of support for our Morehead STAFF with the Pies for Thanksgiving. Every staff member went home with a pie for the long break! A special shout out to Mrs. Kyer and Mrs. Olsen for taking the time to hand deliver a pie to everyone at Morehead on Tuesday! We definitely felt the Morehead Love.
All student Reflection projects are due tomorrow, November 28th.
