Weekly Updates and Reminders 12/04/22
December 4, 2022 Weekly STAR Family Updates
Good afternoon Morehead STAR Families! This is Mrs. Traumuller, the Proud Morehead Principal, with your weekly updates and reminders.
What a week of fun and learning we have ahead of us so make sure that you have a calendar ready to update. We will start with a message from Mrs. Garner, our Media Specialist.
This week is the book fair and you don’t want to miss it! Each day, students will come with their class to shop the book fair! Ask your student’s teacher for the day to shop.
Also, on Thursday, December 8th from 3:00-6:30 we will have parent night! Come with your star students to shop the book fair starting right after school!
You can set up an eWallet for your child by going to scholastic.com. Shopping with an eWallet is the best way to shop! If you do send cash, please notify your child’s teacher.
Please reach out to me if you have questions at garnera2@gcsnc.com. I can’t wait to see you at the Book Fair!
On Wednesday, our STAR staff will send out the progress reports to all students. This report will reflect the work done within the first four weeks of the second nine weeks. Please look in your child's folder for the reports and sign and return. If you would like a conference, please indicate that as well.
If your STAR student is out, please send in an excuse note with them upon their return. We cannot excuse the absence unless we have a note of excuse.
This brings us to our PTA NEWS:
We are working on the digital sign that you helped us raise money to purchase! Thank you for always being willing to support our STAR School.
All PTA news and PTA meeting minutes can be found on the Morehead website.
