Weekly Updates and Reminders 01/08/23
Sunday, January 8, 2023 Weekly STAR Family Updates
Good afternoon Morehead STAR Families! This is Mrs. Traumuller, the Proud Morehead Principal, with your weekly updates and reminders.
We had a great first week back as a STAR family and we are hitting the ground running with a full calendar of events coming up. Please get your calendars ready as we will have a busy week!
Monday, at school, we will return to our weekly student vote for their Friday theme. You will not need to do anything for this except to help prepare your STAR for the theme on Friday. Tuesday is our monthly leadership team meeting at 3:00pm on Teams. If you would like to offer changes, suggestions, or comments/compliments, please use the following link to get those ideas to us to discuss during our time if you cannot join us. https://forms.gle/4otXDF8D7hW7dbzn6 The link for the meeting is on our website under the School Improvement Team. Thursday evening is our PTA meeting via Zoom. Friday will be our Fun Friday with student choice creating our theme.
This is the time of year where our weather can make our school schedule a little crazy. With temperatures hovering around freezing and days of precipitation in the forecast, please understand that the county is in charge of calling delays as well as remote days. IF this occurs, you will hear from the county, but also from us with information on what to expect. Our teachers have been working to ensure that all students are able to sign on to CANVAS for announcements, live teaching, and any assignments. We will definitely keep our STAR family alerted to any changes and/or interruptions in our regularly scheduled day.

Please join us for the PTA Meeting on January 12th at 6pm via Zoom we will be discussing the digital school sign options.

PTA will kick off the School Store Fundraiser this week! Be on the lookout for a flyer that shows how you can email sponsors to donate funds that go directly to your homeroom teacher! Students will earn cool prizes too!
Save the date for CiCi Pizza day on January 18th! Come anytime to CiCi Pizza to place an order for dine in or carry out! The homeroom class with the most orders will win a pizza party!
