Good afternoon Morehead STAR Families! This is Mrs. Traumuller, the Proud Morehead Principal, with your weekly updates and reminders.
Let's start with a quick reminder that the work for this week will begin on Tuesday. Monday is a holiday with no school occurring. We start the week off with the celebration of performance! Our fifth grade will be showing off their talents on Tuesday and we encourage you to come watch the live version or join us via the live link for each class performance time. For the schedule and links, you can go to your Class Dojo or visit our website for the times and links as well. Also on Tuesday, Mr. Kight will kick off Hoops for Hearts! Here is a message from Mr. Kight:
We are getting ready to kick off our Kids Heart Challenge adventure with the American Heart Association, and we need your help! This Tuesday our Star Students will receive information about our upcoming Hoops for Heart Event. During the Hoops for Heart event students will be practicing basketball skills, learning about their heart, raising awareness and funds for the American Heart Association. Our school's goal is to raise $600 in donations and every student that helps raise money will get to participate in taping Mr. Kight to the wall. HERE’S HOW TO GET STARTED: Step 1. Visit our school’s Kids Heart Challenge page OR download the Kids Heart Challenge App to search for our school and sign up! Step 2. Complete Finn’s Mission – this will be your map and guide for you kids heart challenge adventure! Morehead Elementary proudly supports the American Heart Association and the Kids Heart Challenge. We would be so grateful if your family could email or ask friends or family to donate in support of their life-saving mission as well. This year all donations should be made online only. If your family is unable to donate, that’s ok! We are happy to have 100% of our students participate in the event and in the FUN!!!
The remainder of the week will continue as normal.
If your child is a car rider and you are running late after the sign has been put up, please park and walk your child into the main office. Our staff must get back in and prepare for instruction that starts at 7:50.
