Weekly Updates and Reminders
Sunday, March 26, 2023 Weekly STAR Family Updates
Good afternoon Morehead STAR Family. This is Mrs. Traumuller, the proud Principal, with your updates and reminders for the week ahead.
What an amazing week last week! THANK YOU for all of the extra support you gave to us with our book fair, grade level plays, as well as our ARTS EXTRAVAGANZA! We had so many compliments about our student talent and our hard working teachers that somehow have enough time to make all of our stars align! Thank you again for your support - our attendance was amazing!
This week is a shortened week as Friday is a teacher workday with no students. This is also the last week in the third quarter for grades to be entered. Please mark your calendars for Monday, April 3rd - as we will host our Spring Pictures during the day but wanted you to be able to plan ahead. In the same mindset, the week of April 3rd is also a shortened week of four days as Friday, April 7th is the first day of Spring Break.
With many of us planning to look at vacations, please know that the school year lasts until June 9th. We cannot speak to the finalized testing schedule this year as we have not had our yearly testing meeting yet with the specifics given. IF you are planning a vacation, please plan for AFTER June 9th.
Our STARTastic PE Teacher, Mr. Kight, would like for us to share some exciting news about Spring GO FAR Race. As a reminder the spring GO FAR 5K race is coming up on May 6th! If you are interested in your child participating then visit www.gofarclub.org, Click Register, follow the prompts to input child info, and be sure to join the Morehead Team! If you sign up before March 31st then you will be able to participate in the early bird rate for registration of $25. If you miss the early bird deadline, after March 31st, the registration fee does increase to $30. If you would like to run or walk with your child, you are allowed to register under Morehead Elementary and join us for the fun! The link to register is on Class Dojo posted on the School Story.
