Sunday, April 23, 2023 Weekly STAR Family Updates
Good afternoon Morehead STAR Family. This is Mrs. Traumuller, the proud Principal, with your updates and reminders for the week ahead.
Parents we need your help! We have had an enormous amount of tardy students this week following Spring Break! Please make sure that you are aiming to be on time to school everyday. Students who show up late are missing some of the most important parts of school: beginning their day with their friends, reviewing their daily schedule, getting their SEL work accomplished, and getting their individualized instructional review time. Please help us by making sure that you are on time and aiming for arriving to school prior to 7:45am. With grades 3, 4, and 5 getting ready for testing, our students need to be in a routine and ready for success in order to be successful throughout their day.
Kindergarten registration is on the way for the 2023-2024 school year! This is for all rising kindergarten students only. Please come out to meet our Kindergarten team and tour our amazing STAR campus Thursday April 27, 2023 from 3:00-4:00pm. Contact Mrs. Suggs, Assistant Principal, with any questions at (336) 294-7370.
PTA UPDATES:
THANK YOU for making our Kona Ice Day such a success! Thanks to you, every single STAR student who wanted a Kona Ice, had one thanks to our generous donations!
PTA is hosting EPI School Supply fundraising program to help you save time and money on back-to-school shopping for next school year!
Morehead grade level supply packs include items from the GCS approved supply list. The EPI packs include name brand teacher recommended items. ALL grade level packs offer an amazing discount to YOU, as each pack is only $40.00! Packs will be delivered to the school for the start of the next school year.

Thank you for supporting PTA EPI School Supply fundraising efforts so we can continue to do STARtastic projects for Morehead students and staff!

With many of us planning to look at vacations, please know that the school year lasts until June 9th. We cannot speak to the finalized testing schedule this year as we have not had our yearly testing meeting yet with the specifics given. IF you are planning a vacation, please plan for AFTER June 9th.
