Weekly Updates and Reminders 05/21/23
Sunday, May 21, 2023 Weekly STAR Family Updates
Good afternoon Morehead STAR Family. This is Mrs. Traumuller, the proud Principal, with your updates and reminders for the week ahead.
TALENT AND THANKS! Our STARS were shining bright this week! Thank you to all of the STAR students, parents, staff, and volunteers that made this week a successful last week of performances for the school year! We are so very proud of our STAR talent and your partnership to make it all work!
Please remember that our yearbooks are currently for sale and absolutely look amazing with artwork from our very own STARS on the covers. If you have not purchased one and would like to, please use the flyer sent home, stop by the office to get one, or order online using our website.
We have schedules to put forth for you this week. Please get your calendars ready!
This week is a full five day week and every day counts! We will be collecting all devices and chargers this week so please make sure to help your STAR student get them ready for inventory by having them packed up complete with their chargers and cases if applicable. We will be working on finishing our DIBELS state wide assessments with all students in kindergarten through third grade. On Friday, our third and fourth grade STARS will take their reading EOG. This test is a state test and attendance and participation is required for every student enrolled at our school. Please ensure that your child is that on time and well rested for a morning start. Due to the nature of this test, we will have to start as close to 8:30 as possible to allow all students time for the test and all of the other required pieces. Thank you in advance for ensuring that all students are present and on time.
All schedules for the remaining of the year will be posted to the Morehead Website by tomorrow afternoon to help you plan. Please ensure that you check both the website and Class Dojo for all information so that you can plan appropriately.
I will call to update on Tuesday afternoon to give reminders as well as any other updates to all as this is a very busy time of the year for all.
