Good afternoon Morehead STAR Family! This is Mrs. Traumuller with your weekly updates and reminders for the week ahead!

THANK YOU ALL for the support, encouragement, and love for the Principal of the Year Nomination. I truly appreciate you and love the way we work together as a family! We had a great weekend of cleaning our campus with our PTA Mix and Mingle. A huge shout out to all of the families that came out to help us put some finishing touches on our grounds.

This week is a great week to be a STAR!! On Thursday, we will host our 2nd annual Skate Night combined with Curriculum and Title One Nights. All grade levels will have curriculum information out to give all parents while our STARS can enjoy a night of skating. This was a huge success last year as we were able to combine many events to help with schedules! We ask that students in K-2 come first at 5:30 to 6:45 and our 3-5 families to come from 6:45. - 8. If you have children between the two age groups please feel free to come at your leisure. This a great fundraiser for our PTA and an opportunity for some further community building among STARS! Look for flyers to come home in Monday folders.

Mr. Kight, our amazing PE teacher, has sent home information about our Go Far event that will happen on Saturday, November 11th. Please see Dojo for more information about signing up!


Hispanic Heritage month began on Friday, September 15th. We will begin learning more about the various Hispanic cultures daily on our announcements.

Please mark your calendars now as Monday, the 25th of September is a teacher workday with no school for students.
