On Monday, March 7, 2016, a group of international refugee experts from Europe stopped by Newcomers School for a tour. The group is on a trip to learn more about how the U.S. helps refugees. The tour was recorded by Spectrum News and can be viewed here.
On February 12, 2016, two documentary filmmakers, Chris Temple and Zach Ingrasci, visited Doris Henderson Newcomers School. Temple and Ingrasci spent time in a Jordan refugee camp near the Syrian boarder to record the impact of the Syrian War on the refugees in the camp. Their findings were released in a documentary entitled "Salam Neighbor". Their visit to NCS was recorded by GCSTV and can be viewed here.
