Grimsley Playmasters Win Top Honor at State Theatre Festival

The Grimsley Playmasters performed Lin-Manuel Miranda's "21 Chump Street," a one-act musical based on a true story about a young boy falling in love with an undercover narcotics officer, at the North Carolina Thespian Festival this past March. The play received a Superior rating and the designation of "Chapter Select," which is the festival's top honor for one-acts. 

The Playmasters will now be eligible to represent the state of NC at the International Thespian Festival, one of the largest high school theatre festivals in the world, by performing their play for an international audience.
