Grimsley Playmasters Perform at International Thespian Festival

Upon receiving the top honor of "Chapter Select" at the NC Thespian Festival in March of 2018, the Playmasters were able to perform Lin-Manuel Miranda's "21 Chump Street" at the International Thespian Festival this past June in Lincoln, NE. They represented the state of NC as one of only 25 schools from all over the globe invited to perform in the Chapter Select Showcase. Grimsley was the only school from NC to perform a show at ITF in any capacity.

The International Thespian Festival is one of the largest theatre festivals geared toward high school students in the world, with approximately 4,500 people from all over the world in attendance. The Grimsley Theatre students had the distinction of being the only Chapter Select designee at ITF to perform their show twice. So many audience members showed up to see the show that the students had to perform twice in order to accommodate everyone, performing to a combined crowd of over 630 people.

The Playmasters are honored and humbled to have been able to be a part of such an amazing festival.
