McCullough Sworn In as Board Member

McCullough Swearing in  Aaron “Keith” McCullough was officially sworn in as the new representative for District 1 on the Guilford County Board of Education before Tuesday night’s meeting.

The board selected McCullough out of a pool of candidates during a special meeting on June 2 at Andrews High School.

As the school board member for District 1, McCullough will represent Andrews High, Fairview Elementary, Florence Elementary, The Middle College at GTCC-High Point, Montlieu Academy of Technology, Parkview Village Expressive Arts Elementary, Penn-Griffin School for the Arts, Triangle Lake Montessori, Union Hill Elementary and Welborn Academy of Science and Technology.

McCullough, a 1985 graduate of Andrews High, currently works in the Office of Sponsored Programs at Winston-Salem University. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Education from UNC-Chapel Hill and a Master of Science in Adult Education from N.C. A&T. He also attended Parkview Elementary and Northeast Junior High (now Welborn Middle), which are also in District 1.

McCullough will serve the remainder of the term, which expires in Dec. 2016.
