Board Requests Feedback on Updated Facilities Naming Policy

The Guilford County Board of Education asks for public comment on proposed facilities naming policy and procedural changes. The public now has 30 days to comment on Revised Policy FDCA and Revised Procedure FDCA-P which would change the time period the board will accept proposals to name or rename facilities or building components.

The proposed changes include establishing a submission period from Sept. 1 through Nov. 30 each year, and will allow naming or re-naming of significant facilities and building components which are part of the building or site.

Comments on the proposed policy and procedural revisions should be submitted by July 23 to or via courier or U.S. mail to Policy Development, Guilford County Schools, 712 N. Eugene St., Greensboro, N.C. 27401.
