Guilford County Schools (GCS) is excited to announce four new principal appointments, set to start in the 2015-16 school year.
Pamela Moore will take the reins at Sedalia Elementary after serving as an assistant principal in both Guilford and Alamance County schools since 2008. She has proven herself at Pearce Elementary since 2011 by overseeing the implementation of new programs to help student learning and increasing parent involvement in schools.
Union Hill Elementary welcomes Shayla Savage, who has been serving as principal for the top performing Title I School in Randolph County since 2011. Before that, Savage worked as an assistant principal and principal intern for GCS.
Montlieu Academy of Technology will continue to grow with a familiar face in the principal’s office next year. Kimberly Scott has served as assistant principal for the school over the past two years and worked there in various other capacities since 2008.
Finally, Ashley Triplett will head Northern Middle after serving as assistant principal at Aycock Middle for the past three years, where programs under her leadership have shown an increase in student learning and a decrease in discipline referrals.
