Board Seeks Input on Discrimination Policy Update
The public is invited to comment on a proposed update to Guilford County Schools’ policy on preventing discrimination in schools.
The current policy outlines the expectations of students, staff, administrators and other school personnel regarding harassment, bullying and discrimination. The proposed revision clarifies an existing GCS practice by making it clear the district has appointed a compliance officer. The name and contact information of the compliance officer will be added to an administrative procedure. The full policy and proposed revision can be viewed by clicking here.
The public has until February 28 to comment. Input may be shared by emailing policies@gcsnc.com. Feedback can also be sent by U.S. Mail to District Relations, Discrimination Policy, Guilford County Schools, 712 N. Eugene St., Greensboro, NC 27401.
