One of the state’s best theater teachers is in Guilford County. North Carolina Theater Arts Educators (NCTAE) recently named Keith Taylor, theater teacher at Weaver Academy, as its Teacher of the Year.

The award was announced on Sept. 20 at the NCTAE Fall Conference in Gaston County.

“It’s truly thrilling to be recognized by my peers for doing the work that I love so much,” says Taylor. “As our statewide professional learning community, NCTAE continues to serve theatre teachers and represent everything that is right about arts education.”

Taylor is in his 28th year of teaching and has taught at Weaver Academy for the last eight years.
