Congressman Howard Coble visited Haynes-Inman Education Center last week to personally deliver an honorary flag in memory of late volunteer Thurman Haynes. 

The flag was flown over the United States Capitol on July 14, 2014. The certification accompanying the flag states, “At the request of the Honorable Howard Coble, Member of Congress, this flag was flown in memory of Thurman Haynes, ‘Dreaming Big at Haynes-Inman.’”

Haynes was an active volunteer at the school until he passed away earlier this year at the age of 97. Haynes-Inman Education Center was built on his property and named in part for his granddaughter, Meredith.
