GCS Names New Triangle Lake Principal
Triangle Lake Montessori will have a new principal next month. GCS Superintendent Maurice “Mo” Green announced at the July 24 Board of Education meeting that Dr. Pamela Ford-Brown will lead the school.
Ford-Brown has served as an assistant principal at Jackson Middle School for the past six years. During her time there, she contributed to the school achieving High Growth in 2011-12 and 2012-13. She was also the seventh-grade administrator in 2011-12, when the school saw math proficiency increase from 57.4 percent (when students were in sixth grade) to 71.5 percent (seventh-grade scores), reflecting a 14.1 percentage point increase.
She started her career with GCS in 2001 as a teacher at Madison Elementary. She has also served as a curriculum facilitator at Jackson Middle and an elementary and middle school instructional technology facilitator at Montlieu Academy of Technology, Northeast and Hairston Middle schools.
Ford-Brown has her bachelor’s and master’s in Elementary Education from North Carolina A&T State University, a master’s in School Administration from UNC Greensboro and a doctorate in Educational Leadership, also from UNC Greensboro.
