Greetings Simkins Sharks!
Here are this week's Shark Tank Happenings.
Please continue getting students to school every day on time. We will begin tracking tardies this week so if your child has more than 3 tardies, you will likely receive a note from the school. Instruction begins at 7:30am and we need all students in class on time each day.
In addition, if you have not scheduled a conference with your child's teacher, please do so as soon as possible. First quarter conferences are required for students to receive their 1st quarter report card.
Thank you to everyone who helped out with our K-2 Back to School dance on Thursday. We appreciate your patience as we try to make our pickup process work more efficiently. Our 3-5 B2S Dance has been rescheduled for THIS Friday, Oct. 4th from 2:30 to 4pm. Please make sure that you are on time to pick up your child from the dance.Lastly, we are excited that we are starting a new Simkins tradition this week. On Tuesday, we will have our very first 
TurnUp Tuesday celebration. These will be monthly celebrations where our students will be honored for their progress in reading, math, character, and even in Specials. Each grade level will have their own celebration time and they will be posted on our Class Dojo. Parents, you are invited to join us for these celebrations. We are excited to be able to celebrate our students and the amazing work they've done so far this year.
