    Congratulations to SEHS Alumnus Jacob Jenkins-Cowart!
     
    We are thrilled to share some exciting news about one of our own! Jacob Jenkins-Cowart, a proud alumnus of SEHS, was drafted in the 8th round by the Miami Marlins. This is a tremendous achievement and a testament to Jacob’s hard work, dedication, and talent.
    Another congratulations goes out to the Jenkins-Cowart family for their love and support throughout Jacob’s journey. What a dream!

    Join the SE REMIND

    We will continue to use Remind to send important reminders about schoolwide events. You can join the SEHS remind group by texting this code: @flyflyfly to this number: 81010. Seniors have their own remind group that they should join by texting this code: @25graduate to this number: 81010.

    Senior Meeting

    There will be a Senior Parent Night September 16th @ 6 pm in the Auditorium. This meeting will address everything seniors and their parents need to be aware of from college applications, scholarships, seniors events, to graduation date. If you cannot be in attendance, the PowerPoint will be available on the Counseling Department’s webpage the next day.

    Cap and Gown Meeting

    Thursday, Sept. 26 @ 9:30 in the Auditorium

    Cap & gown orders:  Oct. 15 & 16, 4-6pm in Media Center

    Learning Hub

     Learning Hub will begin on Tuesday, September 24. Students needing academic support and a quiet place to study are welcome to attend Learning Hub each Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30 - 6:00. All students must register for Learning Hub using the QR code posted on the school website. If transportation is needed on the first week of Learning Hub, registration must be completed by Monday, September 9. 

    Parent Portal

    Need access to the Parent Portal in PowerSchool? Complete the request form here: PowerSchool Parent Portal Access Request Form. Parents can also use this link to request assistance with creating an account or having their password reset.

    Vaccinations

    North Carolina law requires all 12th graders to have their second dose of a  MCV vaccine prior to or within 30 days of the start of school. Students must present proof of immunization to the office. If they do not get the vaccine and show documentation of it, schools are required by law to suspend them after 30 days starting from the first day of school. Contact your family doctor or the Guilford County Department of Public Health (336-641-3245) to schedule an appointment.

    Governor’s School

    Governor School Summer Program for 11th graders, which focuses on academics and the arts will hold a Virtual Information session September 12 and October 1 from 6-7pm.
